Canvass as temporary measure

After 4 years of promised, Indah Water Konsortium had started to contruct the brick wall in the Kampung Muhibbah Fasa 2B plant recently. Acting upon complaints from the surrounding residents, Persatuan Kebajikan dan Komuniti Muhibbah, Sungai Siput had wrote officially to Indah Water.


As temporary measure, IWK had covered the surrounding with canvass since 2006. IWK promised to contruct the brick wall in 2007, however, it has been delay till lately. Although it is late, Persatuan Kebajikan dan Komuniti Muhibbah, Sungai Siput glad that IWK fulfilled its promises by constructing the wall at the cost of RM74,000.

Persatuan Kebajikan dan Komuniti Muhibbah, Sungai Siput was told that; once the other motor in operation soon, most of the complaints will be cleared. Currently only one motor functioning as the other is under repair.

The Taman Muhibbah Jaya plant will in progress of upgrading currently. After the maintenance works completed, both plants together with the one in Taman Muhibbah Aman will be able to served the residents more efficiently.

The Kelab-Kelab Rakan Muda Wawasan Desa Kampung Baru Sungai Siput with the co-operation of Pejabat Belia dan Sukan Daerah Sungai Siput has organised the ORGANISATION MANAGEMENT workshop for the newly formed Kelab Rakan Muda Wawasan Desa Kampung Baru Sungai Siput members recently. The workshop was held in Puteri Pangkor Resort on 21- 23.11.2009. 31 members participated.

I taught them on how to prepare working papers. Later I leads them to analyse he workshop's relevancy and prepared them to handle open and closeing ceremonies. Puan Zuraini, the former Executive Secretary for Perak State Youth Council guide the participants on how to conduct meeting, preparing meeting's minute and writing official letters. En. Razif the Penggerak Rakan Muda conducting the outdoor activities e.g. explorace and morning exercise.

The participants complained that the schedule is too tight. They hardly going for a swim instead they have been swiming everyday for almost an hour! No doubt that they have to wake up early but it is their fault for sneaking out late night. However, the participants were very co-operative and we have fun time together.

There were many complaints on the foods and rooms. Most of us have difficulty with the room door. The choices of food were limited and were controlled by the resort management. Ms Abby, the officer have though time with the resort management on these problems. Anyway, a decision has been made that this the first and the last in this resort!

STREET HAPPENING

Kelab-Kelab Rakan Muda Wawasan Desa Kampung Baru Sungai Siput and Kelab Rakan Muda Sungai Siput with the co-operation of Sungai Siput Youth and Sports Department had organized the Street Happening program for Sungai Siput youth aged between 15 – 25 years on Sunday, 15 November, 2009 in Sungai Buloh N/V basketball court from 10 am – 10.30 pm.


Battle of the band

The Street Happening program consists of Mix Dance and Battle of the Band competitions. 7 teams took part in the Mix Dance competition while 5 for Battle of the Band. This program had attracted multi-racial youngsters. More 30 Chinese youth signed up as Kelab Rakan Muda Wawasan Desa Kampung Baru member.

Dato’ Chang Ko Youn, the Perak Menteri Besar's Advisor and En. Munir Aliyasak, Perak State Youth and Sports Department, Rakan Muda Deputy Director are the Guest-of- Honour.

En. Munir Aliyasak expressed hope that more Rakan Muda clubs will be set-up soon and the department will always assists the youth programme. He is happy with the participatients as it were from all races. Dato’ Chang Ko Youn called for more Chinese youth to participate in the Rakan Muda program. He believe that Mix Dance is an art and denied that it is unhealthy. This program is suitable for the energise and super active youth.
