SUNGAI SIPUT FLASH FLOOD

Flash flood in Sg. Siput  town on 26.4.2017 evening

Flash flood is a normal phenomena in certain parts of Sungai Siput for past years! Sungai Siput town (after PETRON), entrance to Kg. Bahagia, Taman Shangri-La and Kg. Veersamy are the areas affected. 

Flash flood happened in Sungai Siput due to logging activities in the nearby forest - K/B Sg. Buloh recently. The rain brings along laterite from the hill which silted the river. No proper maintenance of the rivers e.g. widening and deepening. Human factor is the other cause of the flash flood too. 

Many ponds has been filled up for housing purposes, retention ponds are not proper maintain, no monitoring of water level in Taman Shangri-La and Lintang Makmur pond and lack of open space for temporary water storing are the other factors causes the flash flood.  

TAMAN LINTANG MAKMUR FLASH FLOOD

 

Flash flood occur in Taman Lintang Makmur, Sungai Siput for the first time in 9 years. The flash flood is due to overflow of the Lintang Makmur pond which act as the retention pond. The water level in Lintang Makmur pond has been above normal level for the past 3 weeks.

THAIPUSAM 2016

This year Thaipusam committee for KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah, Sg. Siput was headed by Mr Saravanan, the Treasurer. Mr Saravanan took over the responsibilities from the late Mr Sagaran. He did a good job. All the Indian community in Taman Muhibbah Jaya 2, Taman Muhibbah Aman and Kg. Muhibbah Fasa 2B came together for the event. However, we missed our banner!

The Late Mr Sagaran has left us almost a year. The KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah, Sg. Siput missed him very much. All the jokes and his easy going character make us enjoy having him in our committee and events. RIP and condolence to his family.

As usual KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah contributed RM500 for the Thaipusam program by giving out foods and drinks kiosks during the procession. Hopefully this little contributions could unite all the community in Kg. Muhibbah Fasa 2B, Taman Muhibbah Aman, Taman Muhibbah Jaya and Taman Muhibbah Jaya 2.

CERAMAH PERPADUAN D.U.K.E. - Keluarga Bahagia, MERDEKA!

KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah, Sungai Siput with the cooperation of Sungai Siput District Office and a few civil society organizations has successfully organised the 'Ceramah Perpaduan' by Datuk Ustaz Kazim Elias in Pusat Kegiatan KEMAS Sungai Siput on 5 September, 2015.

 

 

Salute the determination of the crowd whom brave the heavy rain to attend this event. The estimated crowd are about 3,000 from all walks of life irrespective of race, religious, creed and political background. The crowd shall be more if the weather permit. VIP attended are En. Faizal ( Chief Assistant District Officer), Tn. Malik (SB Chief), En. Badrul (KEMAS Officer), Pn Getrude (National Unity & Integration Officer), Datuk Faked Adam (Penyelaras RT Sg. Siput) and Dato' Tan Lian Hoe. 

 

Although the event is successfully held but the organiser is still owing suppliers (estimated RM25k). This is for the supply of PA system and LED board. Generous donors are welcome.
